Kali Puja Festival Organising

Ekata SHilpi Gosthi, based in North Kolkata, takes immense pride in its rich cultural legacy of organizing Kali Puja continuously since 1961. What began as a modest neighborhood initiative has grown into a cherished annual tradition that brings together generations of devotees and residents in a spirit of unity and celebration. Each year, the club meticulously plans the festivities—from traditional rituals dedicated to Goddess Kali to artistic pandal designs, illumination, and cultural programs that showcase music, dance, and community talent. Beyond religious observance, the event serves as a vibrant platform for preserving heritage, fostering social bonds, and celebrating the cultural essence of North Kolkata.

Kids Drawing Classes and Competitions

In addition to its long-standing tradition of organizing Kali Puja, the club actively promotes creativity among the younger generation through regular kids’ drawing classes and competitions. These initiatives provide children from North Kolkata with a nurturing platform to explore their artistic talents, learn basic techniques, and express their imagination freely. The club organizes seasonal art workshops and friendly competitions, encouraging participation, confidence, and cultural awareness while fostering a sense of community among budding young artists.

Bhog Distribution

Another significant cultural and devotional activity of the club is the distribution of bhog to devotees during Kali Puja. Prepared with utmost care and devotion, the bhog is offered to Goddess Kali and then shared among all attendees as a symbol of blessings, equality, and community bonding. This sacred distribution in North Kolkata reflects the club’s commitment to preserving tradition while fostering a spirit of togetherness, where devotees from all walks of life come together to partake in the prasad and celebrate the essence of devotion and harmony.

Singing and Dancing Competitions

Bijaya Sammilani Utsav

The club concludes its festive calendar with the organising of Bijaya Sammilani Utsav, a warm and joyous gathering that marks the spirit of reunion and goodwill after Durga Puja and Kali Puja. Held in North Kolkata, this event brings together members, families, and well-wishers for an evening of cultural performances, music, and heartfelt interactions. It serves as a beautiful occasion to strengthen community bonds, exchange greetings, and celebrate togetherness, reflecting the club’s enduring commitment to cultural unity and social harmony.
